All accepted papers will be published by IEEE Xplore in the proceedings of "The Second International Conference on Computing Sciences and Engineering (ICCSE2018)".

Papers should be typeset by using the general IEEE typesetting instructions available at: IEEE Conference Proceeding Format.

All submissions must be original (papers must not have been previously published or currently being considered by others for publication). Submissions must be in either MS docx or pdf formats (6 pages for Regular Research Papers; 4 pages for Short Papers; 2 pages for Poster Papers - the number of pages include all figures, tables, and references).

Submissions are to be uploaded to the submission/evaluation web site:



  • The research should be original and hold scientific merit.
  • The poster should include the following key elements of scientific research:
    1. Research Title
    2. Abstract
    3. Objectives
    4. Research Methodology (study sample, instrument, producers, statistical analysis)
    5. Results in the form of Tables and Graphs.
    6. Recommendations.
    7. References.
    8. Acknowledgments of support or KU funded if applicable.
  • The researcher has the right to participate with the maximum of two posters.
  • The research should be new/completed within the academic year 2016/2017, and not previously presented at any other academic conference.
  • The poster should be submitted prior to the due date that is on Sunday 31st of December 2017 Extended to: Wednesday January 10 2018 (No more extensions)

The poster should follow the following specifications:

  • PORTRAIT form for the poster must be (vertical format).
  • Actual poster size 80*100 CM (32*40 in.)
  • The poster layout could be modified as per researcher's requirements.
  • The top banner should include the applicants institute logo, title of research, author(s), faculty & department information.
  • Appropriate fonts and sizes are specified as follows:
    1. Title (Arial Bold 60-72)
    2. Author(s) (Arial Bold 32-36)
    3. Department/Faculty (Arial Bold 28-32)
    4. Abstract (Arial Bold 28-32 Normal)
    5. Introduction (Arial Bold 40-44)
    6. Text Size (Arial Bold 20-24 Normal)
  • The languages accepted are Arabic and English only.
  • The deadline to submit is on Sunday 31st of December 2017 Extended to: Wednesday January 10 2018 (No more extensions)


  • Regular Research Papers (maximum of 6 pages): Regular Research Papers should provide detail original research contributions. They must report new research results that represent a contribution to the field; sufficient details and support for the results and conclusions should also be provided. The work presented in regular papers are expected to be at a stage of maturity that with some additional work can be published as journal papers.
  • Short Papers (maximum of 4 pages): Short papers report on ongoing research projects. They should provide overall research methodologies with some results. The work presented in short papers are expected to be at a stage of maturity that with some additional work can be published as regular papers.
  • Poster Papers (maximum of 2 pages): Poster papers report on ongoing research projects that are still at very early stages. Such papers tend to provide research methodologies without yet concrete results.


  • Each paper will be peer-reviewed by 2 to 4 peers. Confidentiality of submitted material will be maintained. Papers will be evaluated on the basis of originality, impact, significance, quality of research, quality of writing, and contribution to conference program and diversity. Papers whose authors include one or more members of the program committee will be evaluated using the double-blinded review process.
  • Authors whose papers are not selected for publication can submit a rebuttal letter. Rebuttals will be evaluated by 3 members of the Program Committee.
